Goldman Sachs
Concept: Interactive Data Wall

The concept for a 35 x 12 foot high interactive data visualization wall for a Goldman Sachs 3-day symposium that was to be co-located in five global cities: New York, London, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Sydney. (This was a Sapient project that Howard Coale led before founding Heliotrope.) The concept, which unfortunately was never built, aimed to meet the needs of a global symposium that moved from city to city around the clock. The wall was a solution to the goal of gathering feedback from participants’ tweets, speakers’ talks, audience questions, and forum discussions to generate visualizations of trending topics, as well as links to other topics. Ideally, a board in each city would keep symposium participants apprised of what had happened when they were sleeping.
